Privacy Policy

ShouldISlabIt (shouldislabit.com) is run by William Rowe. This page explains what data the site handles and why. You don't need an account to use it, and we don't run any analytics or tracking scripts of our own.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We use Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-4714711217984974), and its script loads on our pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Other ad vendors and networks that work with Google may also set cookies to serve ads.

Analytics and hosting

We don't use Google Analytics, Cloudflare Web Analytics or any other analytics tool. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic request data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse.

Affiliate links

Some eBay links are affiliate links through the eBay Partner Network. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Clicking a partner link takes you to that partner's site, which may set its own cookies (for example, to credit the referral), under its own privacy policy. TCGplayer links are currently plain, direct links, not affiliate links. If that changes, we'll update this page.

Email signup (Kit)

If you use our email signup form, we ask for your email address only. We use it only to send emails about card price moves from this site, nothing else, and we don't sell or share it. The list is managed by Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which stores your address and sends the emails for us. Like most email services, Kit may also record basic details such as when you signed up and whether an email was opened. The signup form itself is Kit's: on pages that show it, your browser loads Kit's form script, which tells Kit the form was viewed (the page address and referring page) and keeps a random visitor ID and a “subscribed” marker in your browser's local storage. Kit uses these for its form statistics and to recognize returning visitors. See Kit's privacy policy. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe anytime. You can also email us to have your address removed.

My Collection and saved cards

My Collection and the calculators' saved cards are stored only in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so use the export option in My Collection to keep a backup. The share button remembers in your browser session (session storage) whether the X app failed to open, so it can fall back to x.com.

Other services your browser contacts

These services receive standard request data, such as your IP address, when your browser loads something from them.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has signed up for our emails, contact us and we'll remove the address.

Contact

Questions or requests about your data: contact@shouldislabit.com. If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
