Should I grade my Pokémon card?

Free PSA grading profit calculator for Pokémon cards. It compares what you would net selling a card raw against grading it with PSA and selling the slab, after PSA fees, shipping, insurance and eBay selling fees, and shows the break-even graded value.

Search a card, confirm the raw price, enter the graded value you expect, and see if PSA grading is worth it. Got baseball, basketball, football, hockey or soccer cards? Use the sports card grading calculator. Tap “Add to collection” to keep results in My Collection, a private catalog of your cards with totals, saved only on your device.

Counting on a PSA 10? It needs about 55/45 front centering (PSA 9: about 60/40). Measure your card's centering from a photo before you pay to grade.

Assumes the card actually gets the grade you chose. Lower grades are common — try PSA 8/9 values too.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if a card is worth grading?

Grading usually pays off only when the expected graded sale price, after selling fees, beats what you would net selling the card raw by more than the grading fee, shipping and insurance combined. The calculator shows that profit and the break-even graded value.

What does the break-even graded value mean?

It is the lowest graded sale price at which grading and selling leaves you with the same money as selling raw. If realistic sold prices for your expected grade are below it, grading loses money.

Where do the Pokémon raw prices come from?

Raw prices are TCGplayer market prices supplied by the free PokémonTCG.io API. They can lag the market, so edit the raw price if recent sales differ.

Where should I get the expected graded value?

Use recent sold listings for the same card in the same grade (for example eBay sold listings), not asking prices. The “Prefill rough estimate” button is only a simple multiplier and is not real sales data.

Are the PSA fees in the calculator current?

Fees come from PSA's published price list and the date they were last checked is shown under the service level. PSA changes fees and turnaround times, so confirm on psacard.com before you submit.

Should I assume my card will get a PSA 10?

No. Many cards that look perfect come back a 9 or lower. Run the numbers at PSA 8 and 9 as well; if grading only works at a 10, it is a risky submission. See our PSA grading guide.
